Day 41

Campsite to Damascus, Virginia – 2 miles.
467.6 / 1717.7

Woo! Last night we did 30 miles and decided to camp 2 miles before Damascus. We could have went all the way but we didn’t have anywhere to stay. It rained at 5 am as we were cowboy camping, we had no tents or rainflys set up so we got right up after 4 hours of sleep and started walking 5 minutes later.

It was awesome getting to town at 6 am! It was pitch black, we had no idea we were in town until we were literally stepping on pavement. We went to the only place that was open, dairy king, and I got a breakfast burrito for an appetizer, then 2 eggs toast and bacon and coffee, all for 9.99. We came back for 2 lunches later on. The food was good!

It was a typical zero, bar hopping and nom noms. I am OBVIOUSLY zeroing again for Easter tomorrow. We are going to mountain bike the Virginia Creeper trail! I’m so excited!
